For one day only, rain or shine, local artists exhibit original work at Art on Palm @ Arlington Garden. Art on Palm presents artists and makers who create a distinctive body of work in a range of media that includes: ceramics, collage, digital artwork, glass, leather, metals, mixed media, photography, pastels, pencil, textiles, watercolors, and exotic woods. Art on Palm @ Arlington Garden asks for a $2 admission fee to directly benefit its non-profit partners: the CreativeArtsGroup and Arlington Garden. Founded in 1960, the CreativeArtsGroup offers quality and affordable art classes for artists of all ages and delivers free art instruction to the students of Sierra Madre’s public schools through ImaginArt. Arlington Garden is a Mediterranean garden conceived by Betty and Charles McKenney. The McKenney’s transformed an abandoned lot into a series of outdoor ‘rooms’ featuring drought tolerate plants that thrive in Southern California’s diverse climate zones. Recently renamed, The McKenney Family Arlington Garden in Pasadena, the space is Pasadena’s only public garden. For additional information, email or call the above number.
