The Association of Black Employees (T.A.B.E.) at Pasadena City College (PCC) is hosting their 40th Anniversary Scholarship Celebration - A Breakfast, at PCC’s Creveling Lounge. Join T.A.B.E. for an exciting morning of fellowship, a delightful breakfast by Castle’s Catering (Black owned), photo memories and celebrating the organization’s 40th Year. T.A.B.E. provides support, networking, and mentoring opportunities for PCC students and employees, and has graciously done so since 1978. T.A.B.E. emerged nearly five decades ago to formalize the robust informal networks amongst Black employees, and to organize student-focused support, including scholarships. This year’s T.A.B.E. Scholarship Breakfast will award three PCC students with scholarships. The recipients of the T.A.B.E Scholarships are students in great need, who have made outstanding contributions to the college. TABE is pleased to also honor: Joyce Pennie (Jacqueline Dodds Memorial Award), Richard Caldwell (Ted James Footsteps Award), Dave Smith, (Outstanding Alumni Award), Dr. Rueben Smith (Men of TABE Award), and Del Yarbrough (President Pasadena NAACP, Community Award). For your convenience, you may purchase your breakfast ticket or make a donation online at http://bit.ly/2018TABE or by mail to: PCC Foundation c/o Kris McPeak 1324 E. Green Street Pasadena, CA 91106.
