Ellen's Silkscreening Creates Wearable Florals for Descanso Gardens

Artist Fritz Haeg challenges city dwellers to rethink their idea of what a front yard should be in his newest project. Here he presents two possibilities: a typical lawn and an edible garden.
To celebrate this project and the Gardens' themselves, Ellen's printed bright tees featuring 4 different designs: yellow California Poppies, bright green grass, purple eggplant, and white Ginkgo leaves on a gold background
David Crocker, the Gift Shop manager, says that shirts were manufactured locally by American Apparel in downtown Los Angeles in sweatshop-free facilities.

"We do all work in-house," says owner Ellen Daigle. "[We] pride ourselves on being eco-friendly/eco-conscious."
Numerous local nonprofits contract with Ellen's to produce customized garments and promotional items.
"We have very talented artists, sales associates and screen printers committed to serving you," Daigle says.
