Camellia Show and Camellia Forest Tour at Descanso Gardens
Descanso Gardens is home to the largest camellia collection in North America and will feature camellia displays and friendly experts to talk about them

As home to the largest camellia collection in North America, Descanso Gardens hosts the Pacific Camellia Society Show on Jan. 17 and 18. The show feature glorious camellia displays and friendly experts to talk about them. Times: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Van de Kamp Hall.

In addition, Descanso's lead horticulturist Wayne Walker leads a free walking tour of the largest camellia collection in North America. Visitors will meet Walker at the Center Circle to discover the beauty and history of some of the 34,000 camellia plants that grow at Descanso Gardens

Established as a public garden in 1954, Descanso Gardens is at 1418 Descanso Drive, La Canada Flintridge, near the interchange of the 2 and 210 freeways. A popular setting for weddings, parties and meeting in addition to being a location for numerous feature films and television shows, the Gardens are open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily except Christmas Day. Parking is free. Admission fees are $8 for adults; $6 for seniors and students; $3 for children 5 to 12, and free for members and children 5 and younger.
