'Women at Work' Opens New Office In Pasadena Library

A Women at Work representative will be available every Tuesday

The city of Pasadena and Women at Work have partnered to establish a satellite office for the organization in Northwest Pasadena, according to statement released by the city.

A Women at Work representative will be available every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning this week at the La Pintoresca Branch Library, 1355 N. Raymond Ave., to provide free assistance with resume writing, interviewing skills, job applications.

Women at Work is an agency that assists in career-related matters for the women of Pasadena and neighboring cities.

Mayra Basteris, Career Counselor (right), works with Ann Miguel (on computer) in seeking options for employment. Miguel worked at Caltech until her grant ran out on AirPollution and electrical implications studies. Ann Miguel was the first person to take advantage of the new satellite office.
The opening was celebrated with remarks by Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, Robin McCarthy, Executive Director of Women at Work and Pasadena Public Library Director Jan Sanders.
