Are you considering switching careers to become a financial advisor or planner? Here is a rather depressing fact: Studies show that 77 percent of advisers who join the financial planning business do not make it past six months.

“Eighty-eight percent of advisers who come into the business don’t make it past three years,” added Eszylfie Taylor, president and founder of Taylor Insurance and Financial Services, a wealth management practice based in Pasadena.

Taylor should know. He is one of the most successful advisors in the industry. He is a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table and currently holds the highest designation of Top of the Table, ranking him in the top 1% of all producers, worldwide. An experienced advisor, Taylor is on a mission to help people become better financial advisors.

“I always like to say there are two people in the business: new people and successful people,” said Taylor. He wants to help these “new people” transition into a prosperous and lucrative financial planning career with what he calls The Taylor Method, a coaching series and practice management tool, which breaks down the sales process into simple components that anyone can learn.

“The Taylor Method” was basically brought about created to help transition agents from wherever they are in the business whether they are one month in, five years in, ten years in until they get to the next level,” said Taylor. “It’s based on a combination of training tools, including watching videos that I’ve put together, an e-book, personal coaching, and a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.”

This Method is comprised of four parts: The Approach; The Fact Find; The Opportunity; and The Close. Each method gives ing the subscriber the skills to improve at each stage of the sales cycle. It is devised to help financial advisors get clients to say “yes” and grow their practice.

“I was the number one broker in Los Angeles by the time I was 27 years old for one of the largest insurance companies in the Country,” Taylor recounted. “And here’s the thing, I made a ton of mistakes. It’s not like I have the golden ticket and I figured it all out. I just failed every way you can, and kept getting back up.” All his learnings and lessons are funneled into the Taylor Method, which he hopes to share through webinars, regional meetings, and one-on-one sessions.

“If you engage in The Taylor Method, I will make you a better financial advisor or planner than you are today for sure.”
