It was bling-a-ding-ding Sunday evening, November 23, as new young jewelry sensation Mardo Kiladjian opened the doors to Mardo K, his new must-see store on Montrose’s iconic Honolulu Avenue.
The store had been in “soft opening” mode since August 19, but Mardo and his four-person staff officially cut the ribbon Sunday, as customers flocked to the opening party, and beautiful jewelry flew off the shelves.
Mardo, the son of a prominent high-end jewelry manufacturer in LA’s downtown jewelry district, emphasized that the designs in the store are all original, from “the sketches to the final product.”
“It’s a family business,” Kiladjian added. “I have my sister and my cousin here working with me,” and my father is always there if I need his advice.”
As for the product, Mardo told Pasadena Now, “It’s a colorful line. I have everything from bread and butter, simpler goods to the high end as well. I pretty much cater to everyone that I can, but I think what sets me apart from everyone else is the quality of the jewelry. It’s fine jewelry.” Indeed.
Mardo K is at 2269 Honolulu Avenue, 91020, in Montrose’s historic shopping village. For more information, you may call (818) 369-7387 or visit https://www.facebook.com/MardoKfinejewelry
