Even if Chef Laurent Quenioux closed down Bistro LQ in 2011 for a culinary and creative sabbatical, he continues to work his magic at the Vertical Wine Bistro in Pasadena and holds his popular experimental “fooding” events around Los Angeles.

His “fooding” events are best known for combining his unique dishes and making use of art-inspired beautiful seasonal ingredients. Here, the chef from Sologne showcases his talent and undying love for food through artistically plated dishes.

Discover his creativity and culinary expertise by attending a “fooding event” on Sunday, May 31st, 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Vertical Wine Bistro.

Part of Chef Quenioux’s “Revisiting the Classics” Series, this three-course fooding menu will feature the Tournedos Rossini—a luxe dish of grass-fed filet mignon with foie gras, layers of potato, sweet peas, and truffle—as the main course.

For an appetizer, you will experience the ris de veau financière or the sweetbread financière with madera and puff pastry.

Capping off the meal is a dessert called Strawberries Romanoff, a sweet dish of strawberries and cream.

To make the fooding event more special, there will be an LQ Cheese Cart with over 40 non-pasteurized imported cheese, plus wine pairing from DomaineLA—three wines at 2.5 oz. –to match the meal.

Bring someone special to this extraordinary food event. Reserve your slot by filling the form here: www.bistrolq.com/reservations. Price is $39 per person plus tax and service.

Vertical Wine Bistro is located at 70 N. Raymond Avenue Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 795-3999 or visit verticalwinebistro.com.
