Designing Possibilities

Color Dots printing offers a lot more than just the basics

Color Dots’ Raffi Djiguerian knows the in’s and out’s of running a printing company. He has printed practically everything from business cards to t-shirts—just about anything you can think of—and kept up with the modern printing technologies.

Djiguerian knows everyone in the business by now (he has been doing it for the past 28 years!): “I’ve been here 28 years, so I have a lot of customers. They call me and I find what they want and give them ideas,” he says.

His most popular printing jobs are business cards, brochures, mailings, and postcards, but his list of services seems limitless.

His company does office stationery (like scratch pads or letter heads), nylon bags, CD covers, tickets, rolodex cards, stickers, menus, and catalogs, and has also ventured into 4-color printing, producing books, year books, ad books, magazines, and news letters.

Djiguerian, who is a member of American Specialty Items, also prints promotional items, like pens, mugs, t-shirts, and stickers but those are some of the more run of the mill items.  The professional seems confident that if you want a printing job done, no matter how unique or odd, he’ll find someone who can do it.  He’ll even design it, in house, if you need him to!

While business has been going well for Raffi and his wife, a major focus for his team is helping churches and philanthropic organizations by giving them very special pricing.

“I do special prices for churches and organizations for good purposes…I give them better prices, like Children in Messiah.  They are a very good customer,” Raffi says.

There are even times when he prints for free. “I did some work for the cancer research support community in Pasadena. It was a newsletter that came out really nice. I donated the newsletters and they were very happy.”

Now that’s what we call a big business with a big heart.
