Yay! More tacos!

Been to One Colorado lately? There are new neighbors coming in!

Botany, a new florist, combines fashion and floral design.  Following a career in the fashion industry, Botany’s Stephanie Schur, brings her newest “elegant and avant-garde” floral creations to One Colorado, near Mohawk General Store and Anthropologie.

This is Schur’s second store, her first being at the Brentwood Country Mart in 2009. The shops and evoke the more intimate feel of smaller European flower shops. Music and scents fill the air, and gently touching the flowers is encouraged.  Schur also features a collection of other offerings, such as urban-luxe home trimmings and accessories.

And can we ever have enough tacos? Los Angeles restaurateur Steven Arroyo will open a second location for his Escuela Taqueria, in the former Johnny Rockets space, facing the central courtyard.

Escuela’s menu will include tacos with cuts of responsibly-raised pork, crispy branzino, shrimp, and lobster. There are also plenty of veggie-friendly options. In addition to working with local markets and responsible meat purveyors, Escuela’s food is 100% natural and they use no artificial ingredients. The menu is also gluten-free.

Escuela makes their own agua frescas with fresh fruits, vegetable and herbs, or you can rock a Mexican Coca-Cola as well. Combine that with a homemade churro, and welcome the buzz.

One Colorado is at 41 Hugus Alley, Pasadena. CA 91103. (626) 564-1066. www.onecolorado.com
