Get Fit and Give Back

Students now, more than ever, need our help and support to receive those things needed to help make this school year a success, so donate now and feel good knowing your support really made a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Pasadena’s Copper Moose Fitness is holding a donation drive in aid of Roosevelt Elementary School in San Gabriel. Byron Espinoza, who manages the gym, said the idea sparked from his own childhood experiences.

“I grew up in a poorer neighborhood so going back to school was always stressful,” he tells Pasadena Now. “It was either do we buy a new jacket for the school year or do you get a new backpack?”

Roosevelt Elementary’s 15 classes are all in need of various school supplies including pencils, pens, crayons, erasers, child-appropriate scissors, wide ruled notebooks, folders and pencil sharpeners.

The Principal of Roosevelt Elementary, Ms. Cheryl Wilson, is hoping that the drive will provide at least 30 backpacks in order for at least two children from each class to have the best start for the school year with the donations from this drive. However, Copper Moose Fitness hopes to raise way more than that.

If you gift a backpack or a simple cash donation, the gym will give you a free 21-day trial. Here’s some more information:

Having just celebrated its fifth anniversary, it is pushing to help even more people in the local community reduce pain and get fit in a way that works for them.

A gym that has so far raised more than $30,000 for local charities is something to be proud of and makes it an important part of the Pasadena business community. So when you’re busy buying back to school supplies for your own children, don’t forget to pick up a few extra things for those attending Roosevelt Elementary and get them over to Copper Moose Fitness gym. You might just make someone’s year.

Copper Moose Fitness is located at 2982 E Colorado Blvd #109, in Pasadena. For more information, call 626-344-7375 or visit
