Guest Chef Ken Frank Comes to Home to Pasadena, Bringing His Unique, Award Winning Flavors

The majority of you would never pass up exquisite French cuisine created by a Michelin star chef. Pasadena’s very own Parkway Grill will be welcoming an award-winning guest chef this month.

Ken Frank has been producing delicious French food for decades. Brought up in Pasadena, he mixes his love of the town with childhood memories spent in Yoivre, France, and is completely self-taught.

He opened his critically acclaimed restaurant, La Toque, in Los Angeles at the tender age of 23, later moving it to Rutherford and finally The Westin Verasa Napa in 2008. The restaurant was first awarded a Michelin Star in 2007 and has been given a star every year since. La Toque also holds the prestigious Wine Spectator’s Grand Award.

Ken has always focused his attention on just one restaurant, fine-tuning it until it can’t get any better. The great chef can always be found in the kitchen or chatting with guests.

His other achievements include a post as the opening chef at Santa Monica’s Michael’s (a historical Californian haunt), opening Fenix in West Hollywood’s The Argyle Hotel, and being renowned as one of the best creators of a wine pairing and tasting menu.

The Smith Brothers’ fantastic Parkway Grill has invited Ken to show off his delicious offerings from April 17 until April 19.

The dinner menu will consist of specially prepared dishes combining the ultimate meat and fish ingredients. It will include the likes of grilled octopus, Moroccan-spiced lamb, lobster salad and Wild Pacific Steelhead.
