OSKA Gives You a Chance to Play With Fall Colors

Just in case you weren’t aware, we’ve officially transitioned into fall.  Of course, in Southern California the only way you’d know that is by the Pumpkin Spice Latte in your hand and the new season of American Horror Story hype.  But what happens when you want to give your summer wardrobe a rest?  Want to at least pretend we’re cooling down like our fellow states?  Lucky enough for Pasadena, OSKA has options for even our climate.

“OSKA is known for it’s boiled wool and our boiled wool is boiled, like, 30 times, that’s why it is so soft,” says Kelsey Farris of OSKA.  “…the designer does also give us enough fabrications that are light enough for our…mild winter season.”  That means you can pick up a pair of trousers (we like the Haik and Hilma styles) that look pumpkin patch ready without fear of them being shoved to the back of the closet.

Another suggestion?  Play with color.  “I would just go into more fall colors like spice brown,” says Farris.  “Then always a good collection of different shades of gray.”  We like the Itami vest in Acacia (featured above)- it’s a great layering piece and the color reminds us the turning leaves we’re supposed to be seeing.  Don’t forget one of OSKA’s classic white shirts to help finish your layered look- they have several cuts with interesting collars (we suggest the Helena).

Farris’ last piece of advice? “[A] scarf would get you into fall mood!” Don’t worry- they have plenty of fall accessories to choose from.

No matter how dedicated you are to this whole “fall” thing, OSKA is sure to have a new addition to your closet just waiting to be discovered.

OSKA is at 13 Douglas Alley in One Colorado, Pasadena. (626) 432-1729. www. Oska-pasadena.com
