I Can’t Believe It’s Vegan

‘Vegan’ is more than just a buzzword for breakfast lovers in Pasadena. For this all important meal of the day, there’s one place that will fulfill all your morning vegan meal dreams. From freshly baked vegan doughnuts to tempting soy bacon, there is nothing you can’t have.

Chef Jill has heard all the stereotypes about vegan food and wants to make everyone know that these assumptions are not true. Despite common misconceptions, she believes vegan food isn’t “rabbit food,” and can be just as filling and fulfilling as any other type of cuisine.

“We want to show people that vegan food is affordable and attainable for everyone. Even if you’re vegan you can still have all the delicious food you want,” she said.

For starters, the freshly baked vegan doughnuts will make you a morning person. According to Chef Jill, these gems of deliciousness are baked at 2am each morning and have been selling out daily – pre-order if you’re not an early bird.

“They’re not a health food but a healthier food,” she said of the doughnuts – which are cholesterol free.

On a more savory note, One Veg World offers savory soy bacon, scrambled tofu and flavorful kale in their Breakfast Combo plate. They also have a popular breakfast panini and breakfast sandwich on an English muffin for those busy mornings. Another choice is the flaky Cheeze and Spinach Pate Chaud, this delicate pastry is the perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea.

It just wouldn’t be breakfast without the coffee – try the Iced Aulacese Coffee with soy milk for a flavorful jolt of java.
