In-N-Out Burger Brings Back Famous Hot Cocoa After Decades Off The Menu

Famed California fast-food chain In-N-Out Burger announces the return of its long-lost menu favorite, the hot cocoa, which has not been available for decades–until now.

In-N-Out Burger President Lynsi Snyder released a statement earlier this week about the return of the drink that she says is a nostalgic recipe from the burger joint’s past.

“For a certain generation, hot cocoa is an In-N-Out classic, and we hope it will be a favorite of a new generation,” said Snyder.

Snyder says her grandparents and founders of In-N-Out, Harry and Esther Snyder, debuted the signature hot cocoa in the early 1950s and served it for many years after.

Somewhere down the road, however, the drink was phased out for decades following.

“I’m not sure how it fell off the menu but its part of our culture and something special for kids, and I’m happy that we’re bringing it back,” said Snyder.

The hot cocoa is now available at all locations and is made with the same ingredients Esther and Harry Snyder used over half a century ago.

“It’s quality cocoa from Ghiradelli and yes, we serve it with marshmallows,” said Snyder.

In Pasadena, In-N-Out is located at 2114 E Foothill Blvd. in East Pasadena.
