When enrolling your kids in summer camp, it’s important to choose a camp that will teach them vital life skills along with having fun. Wouldn’t you like your kids to go to a camp that will give them something they can take with them anywhere/everywhere, and use for the rest of their life?

By attending a swimming-based summer camp, like the camp offered by Waterworks Aquatics in Pasadena, your children will learn how to work as a team, thereby increasing their confidence in social situations and teach them how to work with others cooperatively to reach some of life’s goals.

Swimming can also make kids smarter by improving memory function and encouraging new brain cell growth studies show, and if your little ones are spending more time playing video games than being outside enjoying the sunshine, swimming camp is the perfect way to teach them to enjoy the things a life of playful exercise has to offer.

Waterworks Aquatics is hosting a number of summer swim camps this year. They will run all throughout the summer, and they have one starting on Monday, June 25th running through Friday, June 29th, and you can get your tickets here. There will be camps running until the week of August 10. So you can pick and choose which days best suit you and your family.

Each week offers a half day of swim school for each child aged between five and 14. They will learn a number of skills including how to perfect their stroke technique and speed, how to breathe better in the water, how to dive and flip turn, and how to strengthen their body as a swimmer.

Besides the instructional training, there will be plenty of fun and games with activities taking up the last part of the session each day. The only requirement for each child is that they be able to swim two lengths, on their own, of a 25 meter pool. If you’re not sure whether this is suitable for your child, Waterworks Aquatics offers a swim test.

Each day starts promptly at 8 a.m. Snacks and drinks are provided. The costs vary. Each session costs $265. If you’d like to enroll your kids in more than one session, feel free. Siblings will receive a 10 percent discount at Waterworks Aquatics swim camp.

Children can always do with a bit of confidence-boosting. Being young is a tumultuous time full of ups and downs. Enroll your kids now to Waterworks Aquatics swim camp.
