Thursday, September 20, 2018 | 11:02 pm

James Comey is a man who dedicated his life to this country and has unique knowledge of our government, and our country, that no one should miss out on.

The former director of the FBI has enjoyed an illustrious career in the United States. Beginning his life as a lawyer, the New Yorker worked his way up in the state, leading several notable prosecutions. (The case against Martha Stewart for insider trading famously resulted in the star being sent to prison.)

In 2013, former President Barack Obama appointed Comey to lead the FBI. During this time, he led the federal response against several mass shootings and worked to improve diversity and leadership within the FBI.

His name hit headlines once again during the 2016 presidential campaign after he announced an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Once Donald Trump had been elected, Comey also investigated his campaign’s possible links to Russia. He was subsequently fired by President Trump.

Now living in northern Virginia, Comey is set to appear in Pasadena as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series. With the ability to speak candidly about the triumphs and struggles he has faced throughout his legal and political career, this talk is not to be missed.
