Waterworks-Aquatics-2ndSummer is here, and there is nothing more refreshing than dipping in cool pool on a hot summers day. Whether you are planning to head to the local pool, the lakeside or the beach, it’s important that your children know how to swim with confidence, for their safety and your peace of mind.

There are so many reasons why a summer swimming camp is the perfect answer for your little water baby. It is so easy for things to go wrong around water when children are involved, and things can go wrong quickly within the blink of an eye.

Summer vacation is the perfect time to put your child into a swimming camp. Not only do they improve on their swimming skills, it is also a great opportunity to make new friends and learn important lifelong skills.

Swimming lessons also teach your child to appreciate and respect water and understand what their limits are.

“The teaching methodology at Waterworks Aquatics is what differentiates us from other swim schools,” said Jon Alpert, founder of Waterworks Aquatics.

“We utilize an original instructional philosophy of teaching children to roll to their back for a breath rather than lifting their heads to breathe, which allows children as young as 18 months the capability to swim across the pool.”

Waterworks Aquatics offers week-long swimming camps that will teach children stroke technique, speed, breathing and conditioning as well as lots of fun playing games with their peers.

The importance of teaching children to respect water seems obvious, but there are other benefits too. They are learning that exercising can be fun, even though most of the time, they don’t even think of swimming as exercise. It also builds their confidence in the water, and their confidence in general.

Waterworks Aquatics offers lessons for children as young as 3 months old and their unique teaching techniques and small class sizes allows for quick progressions. Candace, a local parent who recently enrolled her daughter, recommends parents begin taking lessons at Waterworks Aquatics as soon as possible.

“I have a friend who is afraid of the water, can’t swim, and I am afraid that her fear of the water will keep her child from learning water safety.”

Waterworks provides lessons in small classes allowing each child to have the individual attention they need. Their success is because they provide a warm environment where children thrive and learn quickly and teaching children to respect the water but not to fear it.

Waterworks Aquatics is located at 2290 E. Foothill Blvd., Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 836-1200 or visit
