It’s the best time of the year in Old Pasadena! The historic district’s charming architecture is illuminated with dazzling holiday lighting that puts everyone in a festive mood and creates the perfect backdrop for photos. With 200 independent stores and 100 restaurants, Old Pasadena makes holiday shopping and celebrations a breeze.

The merriment kicks off on Saturday, December 2. Beginning at 1pm, enjoy free face painting, Buster Balloons’ creations, costumed elves, and a wreath-making workshop. At 5pm, head over to One Colorado Courtyard to take in live jazz with the Leftover Cuties, a hand-bell choir, and Charles Dickens Carolers.

The fun extends until Christmas! Santa Claus is ready for photos each Thursday through Sunday at One Colorado, and little ones can submit their wish lists and letters in Santa’s Mailbox – each letter gets a reply! Finally, each weekend, head to Mercantile Place between Fair Oaks and Raymond for free face painting, Buster Balloons, and other surprise pop-ups.
