Rock Out to Live Music and Good Food

Wednesday, March 2, 2016 | 11:58 pm

Few things go together as well as live music and scrumptious food. Luckily, every Thursday you can have both.

Pasadena’s casual chic gastro pub, Plate 38, has live music events weekly and a daily lunch special to spice things up. They feature local, Southern California bands and have special DJ nights.

Some of their favorites performers are lounge singer Liela Avila, rock n’ roll classic covers by David Shelton (guitar) & Emily Kilimnik (violin) from the band Crimson Crowbar, Spyder Blue, Weekend Celebrity, Jimmy Imperial, Mother Blues, Mystik Duo, JB and the Circle Riders, and more new bands throughout the year.

Music ranges from Jazz, Blues, and Classic Rock to Country, Reggae to Alternative Indie Rock. So there’s something to satisfy every musical taste and please any palate.

Music starts at 8:30 p.m. and ends around 10:30 p.m. Reverse Happy Hour begins at 9:00 p.m.

Plate 38 is located at 2361 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena. You can call them at (626) 793-7100 or see their full menu online at http://www.plate38.com/menu.html.
