Thursday, October 3, 2019 | 12:40 pm

Tacocita is your fast-casual stop for tacos and chicken made with incredible flavors from regions all over Mexico and California and is now open for business in East Pasadena. Tacocita makes everything in-house, from hand-pressed tortillas to wood-smoked whole chicken and wings and is the premium fast casual concept from Bicos Hospitality who some locals may know as the team behind Magnolia House, the Original Top’s, and Gus’ BBQ.

Taking a distinctive Southern cooking approach and applying it to tacos is something that’s nowhere else in LA. That means everything is thoughtful and hand-made with love, each ingredient and item developed carefully down to their own salsas. Tacocita also makes Mexican-style wood-smoked chicken and wings, smoked in-house every day and they’ve even got some special takes on tacos– chili-rubbed ahi, potato & mushroom chorizo, drunken carnitas with beer-marinated pork shoulder and belly–a lot of great ingredients you don’t see every day.

The no frills, yet tech savvy ordering system ala the sleek touchpad ordering system, makes the wait time a breeze thanks to the enormous kitchen whcih can handle heavy duty takeout and catering orders, and has a great patio for soaking up California weather.

Art enthusiasts will also enjoy the outdoor murals on the walls, hand-painted with a whole array of succulents and cacti.

Having a party? Tacocita is ready to feed crowds with catering packages like the Taco Party, the Whole Enchilada, and The Smokin’ Chicken.
