While 2015 is just beginning, we’re taking this moment to look ahead at the year’s biggest scheduled movie releases.

This year is seems to be a year of sequels and reboots, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be dragging our feet to the theaters.

Sure, you know which sequels we’re talking about: This is the year we will finally see Stormtroopers and Jedis back on the screen with the December release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Velociraptors and T-rexes will rule the world again with Chris Platt headlining in Jurassic World due to open June 12. Spectre, the 24th James Bond film, will hit the screens on November 6, delighting fans of Ian Fleming’s most loved gun-toting character…and Daniel Craig, of course.

We’re having more deja vu this year, with Pitch Perfect 2, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Mission Impossible 5, Furious 7, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 front lining the list of can’t-miss movies. Other notable movie franchises set to reappear this year are Taken (Taken 3), Paranormal Activity (Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension), Terminator (Terminator: Genisys), and Alvin and the Chipmunks (Alvin and the Chipmunks 4).

New releases that are guaranteed to excite (or irk) include the steamy best-seller Fifty Shades of Grey, Marvel-produced Ant-Man, and Woman in Gold starring Helen Mirren about a Holocaust survivor who fights the Austrian government for the return of a family portrait seized by the Nazis. We’re not running out of reboots this year, seeing that we have Poltergeist, Point Break, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Fantastic Four in the movie roster.

All in all, we’re thrilled with the lineup and can’t wait for those midnight showings!
