Tuesday, February 28 – Drag Queen Bingo at Edwin Mills Pasadena for Deaf Ability Resource

Deaf Ability Resource and Legendary Bingo are joining forces to throw a memorable night of bingo fun! Bingo-Boy and Bingo Babe Roxy Wood will be hosting the event at Edwin Mills Restaurant in Pasadena (in alley by Burke Williams). Play games and you can win or bid on tickets to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Wine Classes, and gift cards from The Cheesecake Factory, La Grande Orange Café, Hornblower Cruises, and many more!

Join more than 150 of Boys & Girls Club’s friends and supporters for the first Pasadena Wine Auction Kick-Off Celebration and Gift-Gathering Party at Annandale Golf Club!  This spectacular auction will support the programs and services of the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena.

 

Friday, March 3 – Mariachi Women in History ”Fundraising Fiesta!”

In honor of Women’s History Month and in partnership with the Women’s City Club of Pasadena, Mariachi Women’s Foundation and Soroptimist International Altadena/Pasadena are hosting a Mariachi Women in History “Fundraising Fiesta!” and cultural celebration at the historic Blinn House. Revealing presentation on the unknown history of women in mariachi music to include a visual presentation of vintage photographs and authentic costumes by the world’s leading expert on this topic, Dr. Leonor Xochitl Perez. Dr. Perez is the Director and Founder of the Mariachi Women’s Foundation and has presented both nationally and internationally, including the University of British Columbia, Kazakh National University of Arts, University of Southern California, University of Santa Cruz, and the Women’s Museum of California. Musical and dance demonstration and entertainment by all-female performers, Mariachi Divas, Grammy Award winners and nine-time Grammy nominees. A “Pass the Sombrero” fundraiser and raffle will be held to raise scholarship funds for a deserving mariachi woman pursuing a college education in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM Program). The scholarship will be awarded at the 4th Annual Mariachi Women’s Festival on March 25, 2017 to be held at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse.

 

Sunday, March 5 – Pasadena Community Orchestra’s 6th Annual Chamber Music Gala plus Fundraiser

Pasadena Community Orchestra’s 6th Annual Chamber Music Gala plus Fundraiser. Celebrate the sonorous sounds of the cello in an “All Things Cello” recital with Cathy Biagini as your guide through all things that include the deep, delectable, and sensuous cello. Members of the PCO cello section will assist Cathy in creating an afternoon you won’t want to miss. Your generous donations will enable us to continue to provide outstanding free concerts for the greater San Gabriel Valley.
