Time to Update Your Appraisals

Arnold’s Fine Jewelry is Pasadena’s oldest, family-owned jewelry store, Founder C.O. Arnold opened his first store in Iowa in 1890, selling jewelry and musical instruments. Around 1910 he moved his family and business to Pasadena, setting up shop in a storefront near the present-day Mi Piace Italian restaurant in Old Town.

His grandson Bruce Arnold has preserved the family legacy of fine customer service for more than 40 years. The third-generation jeweler is a certified gemologist and member of the American Gem Society (AGS). His ease with customers sets the culture of Arnold’s as a friendly place where visitors find answers to their jewelry questions and needs.

Generations of families have counted on Arnold’s not only for superb choices of fine jewelry – engagement and wedding rings, one-of-a-kind pieces, future heirlooms and more – but also for a range of services. Among those are jewelry and gemstone appraisals. Arnold’s experienced staff has the background and gemological training to evaluate current values of precious keepsakes. The value of the precious metal and gems constantly fluctuates due to market and mining conditions.

Accurate appraisals are important because if jewelry is ever lost, stolen or damaged, an insurance company will require an appraisal document to settle a claim. An outdated appraisal will likely result in jewelry being under-insured.

Arnold’s recommends customers get their jewelry appraised every three to five years for security and peace of mind.

Arnold’s Fine Jewelry is at 350 S. Lake Ave., Suite 110, in The Colonnade. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. For  more information, call (626) 795-8647 or visit arnoldsfinejewelry.com.
