Waterworks Aquatics Swim School Grand Opening – A Huge Success

Waterworks Aquatics opened with a big splash in Pasadena last week (May 24, 2013). Hundreds of parents and children came out to tour the brand new, indoor state-of-the art swimming facility and take part in the festivities. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at noon and founder, Jon Alpert, said a few words thanking everyone for coming saying, “We’re very happy to be here in Pasadena and we’re so excited to be a part of this wonderful community.” Lunch was provided and the pools were open for free play swimming. The two indoor pools are heated up to 92 degrees, so it was very comfortable and everyone had a lot of fun.

Open since 2004, Waterworks Aquatics has five other locations in Southern California, all with a shared dedication to their motto of “Learning it the right way, right from the beginning.” The readers of Parenting OC Magazine have voted Waterworks Aquatics the Best Swim School in Orange County for four consecutive years (2009 – 2012).

Waterworks Aquatics provides Private, Semi-Private, Parent and Me, Adult and Stroke Clinic swim classes. They also offer lap swimming and water aerobics for adults, and the facility is a great venue for birthday parties as well as facilitating aquatic therapy. As an added convenience, clients are also able to register online, manage their own schedules, make payments, and much more. Customers who register and start lessons by June 3rd, can take advantage of their Grand Opening Special. They are offering 20% off of their swim lessons plus free lessons depending on the package size.

In a recent press release, Jon Alpert, founder of Waterworks Aquatics described their teaching methodology by saying, “We utilize an original instructional philosophy of teaching children to roll to their back for a breath rather than lifting their heads to breathe, which allows children as young as 18 months the capability to swim across the pool. The other key component is the use of a specialized muscle memory teaching technique, where students are taught stroke technique at a very young age. We provide small class sizes with individualized attention. We have had so much success with providing a warm environment along with fast progress.”

Waterworks Aquatics is open seven days a week, and welcomes walk-ins for tours, inquiries, and registrations.
