Sixteen years.

Mayor Bill Bogaard, our first citywide elected mayor, served us for 16 fruitful years. Now he is ready to retire after this long period of service and commitment.

While we are sad to see him leave his post, we are also brimming with gratitude and appreciation to the man who tireless looked after this city we call home.

The entire city is welcomed to celebrate with Mayor Bill Bogaard and his wife Clare on Saturday, April 25th, 3 to 5 p.m. at Centennial Square in Pasadena City Hall. It’s going to be an afternoon filled with music, art, food trucks, conversations, and laughter—all designed to show appreciation and gratitude to our mayor’s 16 years of dedicated service.

During the celebration, you will get a chance to write down your personal reflections of our exiting leader however, you can already start sharing your “Thank you” notes and other “Moments with the Mayor” in letters or notes prior to the event. Drop them off at any public library in Pasadena before April 25th.

No time to go to the library? You can also show your appreciation by writing him a note on cityofpasadena.net/momentswithbill.

This event is free of admission. For more information, email rstone@cityofpasadena.net or call (626) 744-7147.
