A 15-year-old South Pasadena girl who was reported missing from her home in the 100 block of Monterey Road on Monday night was found in Altadena about 10:45 a.m. this morning, police said.
South Pasadena Police Detective Mike Palmieri said the girl was located in a residence in the 100 block of West Pine Street by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies.
She was with a 21-year-old man, Palmieri said.
The circumstances of her disappearance and the exact nature of what unfolded overnight are not yet clear. Palmieri indicated the Sheriff’s Dept. may be investigating the possibility that a sexual crime occurred.
Earlier today, Palmieri said the victim had “just vanished from the house” last night.
The girl was located by South Pasadena police through phone records and social media accounts, Palmieri said.
