The City of Sierra Madre would like to extends its gratitude to the Sierra Madre Issei Memorial Foundation and Sierra Madre Volunteer Firefighters Association. Through their generous support the Sierra Madre tradition of Family Movie Fridays continued this summer, providing wholesome, free entertainment to the families of Sierra Madre and surrounding communities.

This year’s blockbuster line-up included three current, popular movies: Frozen, Monster’s University, and The Lego Movie. The average attendance this year was 350 people per movies, almost double the amount in attendance per movie last year. The relocation from Kersting Court to Memorial Park was very positive making the experience safer and more accommodating to the larger crowds, and enhancing the overall movie experience.

The Family Movie Friday series will resume in late spring, early summer of 2015. For those interested in sponsoring a movie or supporting the series contact the Community Services Department at (626) 355-5278.
