“It’s a one of a kind Jamba Juice that is a chance for us to experiment with design, experiment with products and experiment with the environment that people come into,” said Jamba Juice CEO David Pace.

The Innovation Bar is on the high traffic corner of Raymond and Colorado in Old Town Pasadena and is the original site of store number 19 of the 870+ Jamba Juice retail locations nationwide.

“It brings a lot of energy and pulls people in,” said Pace.

The unique store that is unlike any other Jamba Juice location serves as a research and development style operation where new food and drink concepts will be created and tested with the ability for Jamba to to obtain real-time feedback from the store’s customers.

“It gives us an opportunity to push the envelope,” said Pace.

It features a sleek interactive bar area, a modern test kitchen, a spacious wifi-enabled seating area, and an extensive menu that surpasses standard smoothie recipe options including quinoa bowls, artisan hummus toast with vegetables, homemade sweet potato chips, and a variety of tantalizing pressed juices made daily to name a few.

“This facility is at the cutting edge of our innovation,” said Jamba Juice CEO David Pace.

All of the items are made exclusively in house and daily for ultimate freshness. The menu also features vegan options to meet the needs for anyone with dietary restrictions and a craving for delicious treats.

According to Jamba Juice, The Innovation Bar is artfully designed to appeal to Los Angeles’ discerning consumers.

“It’s a great crossroads for us because it’s a combination of a local store and also a place where tourists can come, too,” said Pace. “Pasadena is the perfect place to marry old and new designs.”

Aesthetically, the space pairs natural materials with modern splashes of color to fit the atmosphere of Old Town Pasadena while also staying true to Jamba’s unique look and feel.

The Innovation Bar’s interior design was commissioned by Los Angeles architect and designer Barbara Bestor who implemented LED screens with motion video greetings and sleek designs that seems to influenced by a minimalist approach.

“We incorporated the design to feel very local while at the same time retaining our brand heritage,” explained Pace.

The establishment of the first Jamba Juice Innovation Bar is an exciting accomplishment that the company hopes will expand business opportunities and propel the brand into new markets.

“This store turned out great,” said Pace.“I think we’re going to be an iconic brand that will expand our footprint across the U.S. and internationally.”
