Amazon’s Prime Now and Whole Foods Markets have partnered to offer special ultra-fast delivery service of groceries throughout Pasadena right up until 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

For anyone who may have missed shopping the day before and may not have the time to run to the store on Thanksgiving, Amazon and its delivery service Prime Now will deliver groceries from Whole Foods in as little as an hour.

Customers will need to download the Prime Now app, available on iOS and Android devices, enter their zip code to see if they are in the delivery area, and, if they are, order their groceries through the app.

“We’ll be delivering groceries in Pasadena from Whole Foods Market all the way up until 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day so that you can be sure you won’t serve a Thanksgiving meal without a favorite dish or ingredient,” an Amazon spokesperson said. “When you can’t make it to the store or when you simply don’t want to go, now Prime members can get the things they need delivered right to their door in as little as an hour. Through the service, customers can get groceries delivered in as little as an hour for $7.99, or in two hours for free on orders over $35.”

Amazon said they’re offering the service to make sure customers can easily get all of their Turkey Day supplies without missing any quality time. Customers in Los Angeles can get beer, wine and liquor delivered right to their door, the e-commerce company said.

The service is not limited to groceries and wine alone, as customers can also order holiday décor, as well as board games for the family to enjoy on this special day.

Both of Pasadena’s Whole Foods locations, at 465 S. Arroyo Parkway and at the Hastings Ranch Shopping Center at 3751 E. Foothill Blvd., will be open from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, according to the Whole Foods website.

Last year, Prime members around the country relied on Prime Now to deliver their last-minute Thanksgiving needs. Among the more popular items include russet potatoes, sour cream, whipped cream, dozen packs of eggs, blueberries, baby carrots and pumpkin.

To avail of the Thanksgiving Day delivery service, visit www.primenow.com and download the Prime Now app, available on iOS and Android devices.
