If you are a Doc Martin fan there is an event on Sunday, January 10 from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m., that you shouldn’t miss. Actor Ian McNeice who plays character Bert Large on the show will be in attendance at a special tea poured by Pasadena’s own Rose Tea Cottage co-owner Mary Fry.

The Intimate Afternoon Tea celebrates the airing of the seventh season of Doc Martin on KCET beginning January 14 at 8:00 p.m. The event begins with a Champagne Toast and some remarks by Ian McNeice and KCET CEO Michael Riley and will be held at the beautiful home of Connie Holguin.

Doc Martin is a dramedy that stars Martin Clunes as Dr. Martin Ellingham, whose truculence and tactlessness cause mayhem in a small Cornish community. The series details the trials and tribulations of the brash Ellingham, a celebrated London surgeon who is forced to quit his job after developing a blood phobia. Much to his chagrin, he finds work as a general practitioner in the sleepy village of Portwenn. After a jaw-dropping cliffhanger wrapped up season six, the season seven opener kicks off with Ellingham going after Louisa Glasson (Caroline Catz) and their baby as they depart for Spain.
