As part of its ongoing community relations program, the Art Center College of Design is inviting social, civic and cultural organizations to visit its Hillside Campus and tour not only the College’s iconic building—a city historic landmark—but also look at its cutting edge facilities and the Student Gallery, which showcases student work from all art disciplines.
The College’s free community tours are offered in cooperation with the San Marino League, a volunteer and philanthropic organization, whose members raise funds for Fine Art scholarships and serve as docent volunteers for Art Center.
For this Spring, those interested may join a guided tour on the first Sunday of every month at 2 p.m. with no reservations necessary.
Groups meanwhile can reserve a tour on the second Friday of every month at 10 a.m. but must Art Center ahead. Group tours can accommodate up to 24 people, ages 10 and above.
The Art Center College of Design offers a new model for art and design education in the 21st century. Its visionary approach is based on the College’s conservatory-like approach to teaching and learning; a desire for rich, intercultural and transdisciplinary dialogue; and a mandate to provide students innovative learning and making spaces.
