Dr. Steve Seaford has accepted a new appointment to become the new Superintendent for Solvang School District.
During the past seven years as assistant superintendent of instructional services, Seaford had been instrumental in leading the district’s transition to the Common Core and numerous other initiatives while providing “students with a high quality educational experience,” wrote Superintendent Geoff Yantz in a letter to district personnel.
Seaford’s last day is scheduled for July 10. “Steve’s kindness and sense of humor will be missed,” said Yantz.
The process for hiring a new assistant superintendent of instructional services will begin immediately.
“In the meantime, I want to thank the many individuals who have graciously stepped forward to assist the Instructional Services office this summer,” said Yantz.
