Bandits Snatch Purse from Woman Crossing Fair Oaks Avenue In Wednesday Morning Street Robbery

An Alhambra woman was robbed of her purse by two men while crossing Fair Oaks Avenue and Jackie Robinson Park at about 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, according to Pasadena Police Lt. William Grisafe.

Lt. Grisafe said the victim was crossing the street when the two men approached her from behind and said something to her which she could not understand. She ignored them, at which time the first man grabbed her purse from her shoulder.

Both suspects then fled south on Fair Oaks Avenue, throwing the purse as they ran.

When police arrived, they recovered her purse, but her cell phone was missing. .

Both suspects are still at large.
