Blair High School Student, 13, Arrested For Thursday Morning Attack On Staffer

Pasadena Police report that a 13-year old boy was arrested for allegedly attacking a teacher at Blair High School, located at 1135 S. Euclid Ave. in Pasadena, just before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

According to Pasadena Police Lt. William Grisafe, the student had made a previous threat to one of the phys ed teachers at the school. He was brought into the athletic director’s office where he was told was being suspended for that threat.

When his suspension was announced, an altercation ensued. “The student started throwing office equipment, grabbed a cup of hot coffee and threw that at the athletic director and before assaulting him with punches,” Lt. Grisafe said.

The boy was arrested and charged with suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He still in custody at a juvenile detention facility.

The athletic director sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
