Bolton Foundation Donates More Than $22k in Grants to Nonprofits in Pasadena

The Bolton Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Pasadena-based insurance broker Bolton & Company, announced Thursday that it has awarded $22,500 in grants to 13 local nonprofit organizations that have proven their dedication to community development, education, youth services and multiculturalism.

“It’s incredibly inspiring. If we can help those who help others have an even greater impact, it’s a win-win situation. It’s what we’re all about.”

The contributions are provided through the year-round fundraising efforts of the Bolton Foundation and its partners. Foundation Chairman and Bolton Chief Operating Officer Mike Morey said this latest donation is part of a much larger commitment to local involvement and empowerment.

“There are so many wonderful organizations that do so much good within the community,” said Morey. “It’s incredibly inspiring. If we can help those who help others have an even greater impact, it’s a win-win situation. It’s what we’re all about.”

• Union Station Homeless Services

Recipient organizations are selected upon their close alignment with grant funding priority areas as defined by the Bolton Foundation, including education, youth services, community development and multiculturalism. Those chosen must be filed 501c(3) with valid tax ID, located within California and use the grant as either seed money for startup programs or funding for existing programs.

The Bolton Foundation was established in 2014 to formalize Bolton & Company’s commitment to making a difference in the community. To date, Bolton supports more than 200 nonprofit organizations, and strives to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in California.
