Boys Athlete of the Week: Bryce Hamilton of Pasadena High School

Accomplishments: Hamilton scored 65 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a pair of CIF- State Division 2 playoff games. The Bulldogs’ star junior and area’s best player had 31 points in the semifinal and redemptive victory at Harvard-Westlake on Tuesday. On Saturday, Hamilton led everyone with 34 points in the CIF State Division 2 Southern Regional Finals. Esperanza defeated Pasadena, 68-58, but Hamilton shined bright, including 18 fourth-quarter points. In the final quarter alone, Hamilton made five 3-point baskets, including one where he was fouled and turned it into a 4-point play.
