St. Francis Battles Defending Champs Entire Way

Harvard-Westlake earned a CIF-SS championship last season by defeating Pasadena comfortably in the finals.

They are back and entered Friday nights game with visiting St. Francis in second place behind Crespi.

And while Mason Hooks and Johnny Juzang, a pair of sophomore studs combined for 51 points for the Wolverines, the Golden Knights put up a valiant effort.

Harvard-Westlake earned a 69-64 Mission League victory, behind 29 from Hooks and 22 from Juzang.

Dennis Flowers III led St. Francis with 20 points.

Javon Jones added 18 for the Golden Knights.

St. Francis will host Loyola is another Mission League game on Monday night at 7.
