A man’s body was found hanging in the courtyard of a commercial building at the corner of North Fair Oaks Avenue and Holly Street at about 7:30 a.m. this morning.
Pasadena Police Lt. Pete Hettema said a passerby discovered the body of the middle-aged man hanging in the building’s courtyard—which cannot be seen from the street—and reported the discovery to police.
Police have cordoned off the area and are conducting an investigation expected to last several hours.
Hettema said the man’s death is considered suspicious at this time.
Police activity is not affecting traffic. However, the coroner’s arrival sometime in the next two hours could create restricted traffic flow.
Lt. Hettema said the investigation is in its early stages. Beyond reports that the victim is a middle-aged man, no other information is being released.
