Everyday from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the bar and lounge of Bourbon Steak in the Amerciana at Brand, you can bring out the happy with some new nibbles and gulps from Chef Kyle Johnson. And if you want to make your Sunday a funday Bourbon Steak is also offering their Happy Hour from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. During these time all snacks are half-price and burgers are offered at a special price.

“We really wanted to make a big splash with a really value driven cocktail program we also introduced it on our happy hour as well for Sunday brunch,” said Chef Johnson.

During our visit we sampled a vast array of dishes and drinks. One of my favorites was the beef slider. Unlike the usual sliders which are dry, this slider had a thick, delicious beef patty, charred with a pink center. Topping the slider was a thick slice of melted cheese and dripping secret sauce with a crisp piece of lettuce and fresh tomato. Ask for extra napkins and enjoy!

Bourbon Steak’s Trio of Duck Fat Fries are also most tasty. Each one is flavored with a different coating (Pastrami, Parmesan, and Pickle) and served with their own sauces. These fries taste good even when they are cool, that’s how good they are.

Mac and Cheese is always a favorite but when it has succulent pieces of crab added, it’s to die for. Topped with toasted bread crumbs seasoned with Old Bay seasoning, this was one yummy Mac and Cheese.

The “Bruce Lee” wings were zingy with a combination of Szchuan peppercorn, ginger soy and scallions. Lamb Lollipops were also a grown-up taste treat with a mint chimichurri sauce.

All these delicious bites can be combined with an assortment of unique cocktails like the Ginger Rogers, a mixture of gin, ginger syrup, lemon and ginger ale. This is a really refreshing drink and wonderful on a hot summer day.

The Negroni Sbagliato Spritz is a bit bubbly, a bit sweet and altogether yummy, as is the Ward 8, a refreshing combination of bourbon, grenadine. lemon and orange.

The Old Fashioned is really old fashioned, crafted with bourbon, sugar and bitters. The Lucky Lindy, a fun combination of vodka, lime, Aperol, honey, and kaffir lime.

Happy Hours are always fun, but not always tasty. Bourbon Steak delivers both fun and flavor, so go get happy and enjoy some tasty food and drink while you’re at it.
