Pasadena police responding to a watchful citizen’s call about an unresponsive man in a car parked on a quiet residential cul-de-sac found a felon armed with a handgun reportedly asleep or passed out behind the wheel.

Lt. John Mercado said about 11:19 p.m. Friday police responded to the 2900 block of Margaret Drive, a one-block-long street that dead ends at the Eaton Wash.

The officers engaged the man and learned he did not live in the area. As their investigation continued the officers identified the man as a parolee.

A search of the car turned up a loaded .22 caliber handgun and a stash of methamphetamines, Mercado said.

Arrested was Richard Jacob Bojorquez, 35, of Pasadena, for suspicion of being a felon in possession of a loaded gun and for possession of methamphetamines.
