The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) plans to fully close a segment of the eastbound I-210 (Foothill Freeway) on Monday, September 24 at 11:55 p.m. until 5 a.m. September 25 for an overhead sign installation near Mountain St. off-ramp in Pasadena.

Motorists traveling on eastbound I-210 will be diverted to the Lincoln Ave/Howard St. off-ramp. A signed detour will be posted for motorists who need to continue their commute on eastbound I-210.

Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes or avoid the area. Drivers are advised to plan ahead, and can check real-time traffic information using the Caltrans QuickMap, or by downloading the QuickMap app for free on any iPhone or Android device.

The work on I-210 is part of a $148.5 million pavement rehabilitation project for a 9.7-mile section from the La Crescenta-Montrose area of Los Angeles County to Pasadena.

Caltrans reminds drivers to be “Work Zone Alert” and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
