When was the last time you sat down and listened to some really great music? Music that made you want to relax and dance at the same time?

Reggae band Calvin Banks and The Tellers are livening up Pasadena every Wednesday night at the 1881 Club. The Grammy-nominated six-piece are renowned for their upbeat yet mellow vibe “with a crisp, clear, top-notch drumbeat that excites the senses, and moves the soul,” says Pasadena Now’s Matthew James.

Formed in the town of Altadena in the spring of 2014, the band is composed of guitarist and lead vocalist Calvin Banks, percussionist Ronny Street, bassist Todd Kreutzer, keyboard player Keith “Shealtiel” Crenshaw, with drummer Olises “Oli” Naranjo and DJ Earl-E.

Calvin Banks and The Tellers will be performing at Pasadena’s 1881 Club every Wednesday from 8pm to 11pm until the end of the year.

The 1881 Club is located at 1881 E Washington Blvd, in Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 314-2077 or visit
