The Pasadena Marathon Event was on Sunday, June 30th. Cancer Support Community, Pasadena put together a team of 45 runners and walkers who enjoyed the event even in the extreme heat! National Charity League Members of the San Marino Chapter volunteered to manage the Team check in table.

After the race, they enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at Mijares Mexican Restaurant.

Strides for Hope Sponsors were Juliennes, Mijares, Pasadena Symphony & Pops, and Rock it.

Funds raised by our fund raising events are a significant source of revenue for Cancer Support Community Pasadena, a non-profit corporation that touches more than 1,600 people in the greater Pasadena community annually. “Our Strides for Hope Team raises vital funds that enable Cancer Support Community Pasadena to provide free support for people facing cancer – because nobody should face cancer alone,” noted Clay Marquardt, Board President, Cancer Support Community Pasadena.
