Firefighters on Wednesday extinguished a car fire inside the auto shop of a gas station in Pasadena before the flames could spread to the building itself, officials said.
The fire was reported just before 8:30 a.m. at a gas station at the southeast corner of Villa Street and Allen Avenue, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.
Firefighters managed to quickly knock down the flames before they damaged the structure, city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian said.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
