Pasadena Police Department Lt. Pete Hettema has reported on a carjacking which occurred at 7:42 p.m on Monday in the 1200 block of N. Fair Oaks Blvd in Pasadena.
The victim, an Apple Valley resident, was driving a blue 2012 Hyundai Veloster. He stopped to use a restroom when the suspect walked up and pointed a handgun at him. “Fearing for his safety, the victim ran away. When he returned, his car was gone. The suspect did not say anything to the victim, and the victim did not see the suspect take the car,” Hettema said.
The suspect remains at large. Police are searching for a Hispanic male, estimated to be about 20 years old who was further described as approximately 5’4″ inches tall, of thin build, with a mustache and wearing a black sweater and blue jeans.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
