Celebrate Black History Month at Pasadena Senior Center

Members and non-members of the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St., are invited to a Black History Month celebration Monday, Feb. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The celebration will include a soul food luncheon, jazz music and more, representing the pride, dignity, grace and inspiration of African American heritage. The event is sponsored by the Pasadena Senior Center Ebony Ladies of Distinction.

Ebony Ladies of Distinction was founded in the early 2000s to provide representation of African American culture at the Pasadena Senior Center, where ELOD meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of every month.

Founded in 1960, the Pasadena Senior Center is an independent, nonprofit agency that offers recreational, educational, wellness and social services to people ages 50 and older in a welcoming environment. Services are also provided for frail, low-income and homebound seniors.
