From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Park, 360 N. Arroyo Blvd., Pasadena residents will have the chance to rediscover the Arroyo’s rich natural and cultural history.
Planned activities for One Arroyo Day includes an Arroyo Seco Trail cleanup, a nature scavenger hunt for kids, a native wildlife reptile station, Arroyo exhibitor booths, lawn games, and raffles. Kids can also earn a One Arroyo Nature Explorer Badge as they explore the Arroyo Seco. The Pasadena Fire Department will serve hotdogs on a first come, first serve basis.
Confirmed exhibitors and participants are One Arroyo, Kidspace Museum, Tom Sawyer Camps, Rose Bowl Riders, Pasadena Casting Club, Arroyo Seco Foundation, Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, Pasadena Heritage, Pasadena Beautiful, Dog Haus Running Club, Pasadena Pacers, Southwestern Herpetologists Society, California Turtle and Tortoise Club, Pasadena Sierra Club, City of Pasadena Public Library, and the Pasadena Fire Department.
Sponsoring the event are Western Asset Management, Wells Fargo Private Bank, AEG, and the City of Pasadena.
Organized by the Arroyo Advisory Group (AAG), One Arroyo Day is one of many projects that aims to capture the interest of the Pasadena community and explore sustainable means of funding for the development of the Arroyo Seco.
The AAG is an advisory group whose members are selected by the City Manager and the General Manager of the Rose Bowl. Members of the advisory group are Pasadena community leaders who share a passion for the Arroyo Seco, financial acumen, and who are well-versed in the history and values of Pasadena.
