CEO and Chief Medical Officer of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Will Speak at USC Trojan Affiliates Membership Coffee

CEO of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Keith Hobbs and Chief Medical Officer Armand Dorian will speak on “A Gateway to Keck Medicine, a USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Story” to the USC Trojan Affiliates and prospective members and guests on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, Council Rooms C/D, 1812 Verdugo Boulevard, Glendale. The meeting will begin with hearty refreshments at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program.

Keith M. Hobbs, FACHE, who earned his BS from California State University Northridge and MBA from National University, has served as Chief Executive Officer of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital since January 2016. He also serves as a member of the Health System Board for USC. Hobbs provides leadership for inpatient, ancillary, and allied health facilities by promoting teamwork, fostering efficiency, enhancing communication and establishing clearly defined goals and measurements.

In July 2018, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital (USC-VHH) appointed Armand H. Dorian, MD, FACEP, MMM, as the new chief medical officer of the hospital. In this role, he oversees medical operations at the hospital, optimizing efficiencies while upholding the highest standards of safety and patient care. Dr. Dorian also serves as a clinical associate professor of emergency medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Dr. Dorian has a successful, longstanding, and deep relationship with all-things media, vertically integrated with the entire industry. A respected and regular medical expert, host, actor, writer and producer on many television shows, like “ER”, “EXTRA”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Inside-Edition”, and news-stations like CNN, FOX, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, KTLA, and CBS. He is published in trusted and respected medical and scientific journals. He has also been featured in numerous magazines, newspapers, and websites, including LA Times, New York Times, Huffington Post, Esquire, Chicago Sun-Times, TMZ, Yahoo health, Buzzfee, and the Associated Press, to name a few.

USC Trojan Affiliates, a women’s organization located in the San Gabriel Valley, supports the University of Southern California and welcomes all interested women to attend its meetings and events. This meeting will focus on new member recruitment and all women parents, alumni, and friends of USC are encouraged to attend. Gentleman, are of course, welcome to attend the meeting as well. The group meets five times a year at various homes and locations within the San Gabriel Valley and hosts additional social and cultural events while raising needed scholarship funds for USC students. It currently supports ten students who attended local San Gabriel Valley high schools.

USC Trojan Affiliates is in its fourth year of contributing money to its first scholarship endowment fund of $100,000, (now well over the initial funded amount) using these dollars to support its scholars. Money is also raised from selling unique USC products —a special line of Maria de La Luz jewelry, scarves, clothing, tablecloths, towels, handmade signs, and more. Members also volunteer at the Pasadena Showcase House to earn funds and participate in the USC SCupper, USC Day of SCervice, USC Homecoming, and Swim With Mike, programs to support the University and its students.
