More than 250 people gathered on Saturday, April 19th, at the Child Educational Center’s La Canada site to celebrate family and children, and the CEC’s 36th birthday. The event featured staff tenure awards for early care educators who have been with the center from 10 to 20 years, as well as music by children’s folk music group The Hollow Trees and catering by The Spot Gourmet.

The Child Educational Center provides early care and education with a pioneering focus on outdoor learning in La Canada and Pasadena. The CEC offers full-day programs for children up to five years old, as well as after-school programs and summer camps for children in grades K – 6. Through their consulting and outreach services and their Outdoor Classroom Project initiative, the CEC is transforming the way early childhood educational programs provide care to children across California.
